Transformations by Austin Angels is a 501(c)3 organization, tax ID# 27-2087142.

mission statement:

To walk alongside foster children and their caretakers by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building and mentorship.

We define intentional giving as the giving of thoughtful gifts and resources that meet the real needs of a foster child and their entire family.

We define relationship building as devoting time and energy to foster healthy relationships that promote healing through connection.

We define mentorship as equipping and empowering our children to be prepared for adult living and reach their fullest potential.

Vision Statement:

Creating sustainable change in the foster care system.
Our dream is to see every child in the foster care system supported by a Love Box group. We serve just under 200 children in central Texas through our Love Box program. There are currently over 5,600 children in foster homes or substitute care services in central Texas alone. Our long-term vision is to open chapters in every major metropolitan city in the nation, so every single foster child in the United States will be supported and empowered to succeed.

The Problem

The staggering outcomes and statistics of children in foster care are bleak.
• 50% of our homeless population are former foster care children
• 50% of girls in the foster care system become pregnant by age 19
• 97% of children in foster care do not attend college, despite the fact that as wards of the state, they receive a full-ride to any state school of their choice

Our Solution

Our Love Box program is an opportunity to take further action by connecting with other dedicated volunteers and creating a pathway of hope for children in the foster care system. Volunteers meet practical, everyday needs, as well as build intentional relationships with the family they serve.

Our Dare to Dream program is a one-on-one mentorship  program for aged-out or at-risk-to-age-out foster youth (ages ranging from 15-21). Our mentors are advocates, role models, valued friends, available resources, cheerleaders, and career enthusiasts.
